How do I become an apprentice?
In the first instance, it is an employer who recruits or appoints an apprentice. LearnTech provides the apprenticeship training. At times we provide a recruitment service, but we do not employ the apprentices ourselves. Below you can see where to find apprenticeship vacancies that you can apply to.
If you are not already employed, apprenticeship vacancies are advertised on the www.gov.uk or you can search the internet using the terms ‘find an apprenticeship’ and you will get to the gov.uk job board easily from the results.
Other job boards contain apprenticeship vacancies including Indeed, Totaljobs and Reed. Again, using a search engine will return job sites that you can search through, and also leave your details if you wish so the sites email you when suitable positions come up.
Many training providers, including LearnTech, have their own vacancies advertised on their website. Ours can be found here.
If you are already employed, you could approach your current employer to see if they could offer you an apprenticeship in your desired field. If your existing employer happens to have a great opportunity for you but hasn’t yet selected a training provider, then please ask them to contact us and we will help.
If your current employer can’t provide the apprenticeship you desire then you will need to secure an apprenticeship elsewhere. It’s advisable to secure a new position before resigning from your current employer.
Whilst LearnTech is the chosen technology training provider for many fantastic employers across England, we don’t provide apprenticeship training for every employer. So, the best way to seek out an apprenticeship opportunity is by searching for relevant opportunities and applying where appropriate.
The training has helped my confidence, I’m better at speaking in front of stakeholders and running team meetings.
