Matt Lyons
Head of Software Development, Data and Business Analysis
Matt leads a team of Technical Trainers and Mentors, delivering apprenticeships and professional qualifications. With a degree in Applied Computing and a teaching qualification, Matt has built extensive experience in Further and Higher Education, progressing through roles in teaching, leadership and programme management across A Levels, T Levels, degrees and apprenticeships.
Georgina Thomas
Technical Trainer
and Mentor
Georgina holds an MSc in Statistics and specialised in NLP and probabilistic topic modelling. As a technical trainer and mentor, she supports Level 6 Machine Learning Engineer and Level 4 Data Analyst apprentices. She has worked in the public sector, enhancing data literacy and advanced data science skills across government departments and engaging in outreach to improve data capabilities in young people.
Joel Leaman
Technical Trainer
and Mentor
Joel mentors and delivers the Level 4 Data Analytics apprenticeship, drawing on his Data Science degree and broad industry experience. He has worked for the Office for National Statistics (ONS), delivering training to central government departments and developing modules for the ONS Data Science Graduate Programme, blending technical expertise with a passion for helping students grow into data professionals.
David Remon
Technical Trainer
and Mentor
David is an experienced data trainer with a strong academic background in Economics and Mathematics, supported by a PGCE teaching qualification. He’s passionate about making complex concepts easy to understand and apply. David has empowered students from a wide range of backgrounds, helping them grow their skills, think analytically and use data storytelling and AI tools to make smarter, informed decisions.
