IT Solutions
The Level 3 Digital Technician apprenticeships are broad based and support focused towards applications. One is aimed at supporting internal customers and the other external.
The Level 3 IT Solutions apprenticeship is also support focused but is more networking, hardware or software focused and can serve either internal or external customers.
The Level 4 apprenticeship is implementation focused and can be utilised for both internal and external customers.
IT Solutions Programmes
Digital Applications Technician
12 months + EPA
Level 3
- Internal user focused
- Provide advice, training and support to maximise use and benefit of digital technology
- Help users remain up to date with changes and improvements in their applications
- Devise ongoing digital productivity solutions
- Ensure effective use of digital office technologies, productivity software, digital communications, including collaborative technologies, and digital information systems
- Can assist in change and implementation projects
Level 3
Digital Service Technician
12 months + EPA
- Externally customer focused
- Help ensure customers receive their full-service provision
- Support customers in effective use of their provision, providing assistance and training
- Undertake support tasks typically on a first line basis
- Liaise with customers regarding additional services available, providing advice and information
- Utilise information systems such as CRM tools to manage service delivery and improve user experience
IT Solutions Technician
13 months + EPA
- Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining IT solutions
- Requirements gathering through to testing and support
- Utilises Waterfall and DevOps
- Deployed for either hardware or software solutions
- System administration
- Sets up and upgrades components
- Maintains documentation
- Embedded training for CompTIA A+ qualification
- Optional CompTIA A+ exams or premium package
Level 3
Applications Support Lead
15 months + EPA
- Provides advice, training and support on technology applications
- Rolls-out upgrades and new technologies
- Provides Change Management support
- Implements additions to support functions
- Assists with planning of IT projects
- Build and implement local and remote working environments
- Client facing/front of house
- Works with Stakeholders
Level 4
Digital Product Manager
20 months + EPA
- Manages the digital product lifecycle
- Undertakes prototyping and feedback cycles
- Collaborates with a wide range of multi-disciplined digital and technical developer
- Ensures commercial value for money in the products and services
- Engages teams and stakeholders to develop vision and strategy for digital products and services
- Sets measurable goals for development stages
- Ensures knowledge of and take up of products
